DOMINION BOYS.
IN BRITAIN’S NAVY. (BY, TELEGRAPH- —PRESS ASSOCIATION. i AUCKLAND, Nov. 24. The : firsrt detachment of New Zealand bluejackets, who graduated through the training ship Philomel and the cruiser Chatham and then went to- England for further training in the Royal Navy schools and ships, returned by the Athenic to-day. They are fit and well. When questioned, they said they had had a- royal time. They had expected the discipline of the Atlantic Fleet to be severe, hut, as is 'always the case with keen and efficient men of the services, they ibad no complaints. Whatever might have been said about the inksomene-S'S on naval .discipline to colonial boys, the fact is they have taken to the life of the navy like ducks to water, and their country will be proud of them. The party which went to England fourteen months ago numbers eighteen from all parts of the Dominion. The names on their cap bands tell of their experiences. There was noticed the names of those great ships, the Barham, the Queen Elizabeth, -the Malaya and the Revenge, the Excellent (which is the gunnery .school), and the Victory and the Vernon, which are other training ships.
