RAILWAY WORKS.
LEVIN-FOXTON PROJECT. FLYING SURVEY. (by TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. LEVIN, Nov. 25. Telegraphing to the Levin-Foxton-Marton Railway League, the Minister of Public Works states that the Public Works engineers have been instructed to make a flying survey immediately, and submit an estimate of the cost next week. The estimate will then be placed before the British Commissioners. The League claims that the deviation will shorten the Wellington-Auck-land route by sixteen miles and lessen the ne-ed for the Palmerston deviation.
