THE ALL BLACKS.

OXFORD’S DEFEAT. YESTERDAY’S BRILLIANT GAME. >JY cable—press association—copyright. LONDON, Nov. 21. Colonel Philip Trevor in the Daily Telegraph says: “My opinion of the New Zealanders’ cleverness and resource has been increased by the Oxford match. They are never beaten, always have an alternative plan and adopt it with apparent ease. The finest side we can find will be up against it to beat the New Zealanders if they play, as they did against Oxford. ”

The Welsh Rugby Union, at a special meeting to-night, decided, in order to avoid any rupture with the'New Zealanders, to submit three names from which the All Blacks shall select an acceptable referee for the Cardiff match. INDIVIDUAL SCORES.

Following is a summarised record of scores :

The name of the' scorer of one try in the Yorkshire match has not yet come to hand. RESULTS TO DATE.

REMAINING MATCHES. November 22—v. Cardiff, at Swansea; November 29—v. Wales, at Swansea. 'December 2—v. Llanelly. December 6 —v. East Midlands, at ' Northampton, December 11 —v. Warwickshire, at Coventry. December 18—v. Combined Services, al Twickenham. December 17—v. Hampshire, at Ports mouth. December 27 —v. London Counties (se cond match). January 3—v. England, at Twickenham January 11 —v. a representative French team at Baris. January IS —v. France, at Toulouse. TO-DAY’S MATCH. AGAINST CARDIFF. WALES NEXT SATURDAY. (By Spectator.) The result of the match which is to be played to-day will be of interest and possibly of some value in assessing the probable strength of the Welsh international side. The Welsh matches are said to be against club teams, but it seems more likely that these would be selected from the teams in the various towns. Already the All Blacks have met two—Swansea and Newport—gaining an overwhelming victory against the former and being apparently lucky to win by a narrpw margin in the latter. A message from a member of the official party, however, says that the boys were clean off colour, and this seems probable in view of the generally reported weakness of Welsh football generally, for the conditions were quite good. This opinion, however, is hardly borne out by the cabled report, which makes it appear that the Newport men played a hard game and showed verv good form. However, it may be taken for granted that our team will take no chances and will put in a strong team, who will all play their very best. On the general run of the play, and after reading the various reports, the All Blacks may expect a good struggle both at Cardiff and against the internationals. They aie playing so well together and are in such good condition, and apparently—according to the reasoned opinion of an able and fair critic like Colonel Trevor—they have the facility of changing their tactics to suit the occasion, that they should win against both teams. Especially will the victory against Wales be looked for by the whole Dominion, for everyone is anxious to see that result in view of the win Wales had against the 1905 team. The results will be awaited with keen interest and with a general feeling of confidence.
