The Commonwealth Line declined the Overtures of the stewards: and 'seamen to sign ofi for the trip to England, and has announced that its steamers will be tied up-indefinitely. As a/result of the hold-up of the Moretott Bay and the Ferndale, the Commonwealth Line lost £BO,OOO worth qf cargo business. The Line is determinedjnot to do anything until a guarantee /is given by the seamen’s and stewards’ unions that there will be no more hold-ups.
