STRATFORD SHOW.
GOOD ENTRIES RECEIVED. Entries for the Stratford A. and 1> Association’s annual show will finally close on Thursday. November 20, at the office of the secretary (Mr A'. J. Barr), those desiring to compete'should forward their entries as soon as possible, una not wait for the closing day 5 '. The general entries closed on Saturday last, and the nurnher received exceeded even the most optimistic expectations. These have come from as far afield as Wellington, while Taranaki, Palmerston North, Wanganui and localities nearer at hand are well represented. Arrangements for the various attractions on People’s Day are well under way, and there is no doubt that an unqualified success will be registered in every department. The buckjumping competition will naturally take first place in public interest, and in that regard it might lie mentioned that some fine horses have been procured, while the number of competitors a heady entered is very large. The association is most anxious to receive as many entries as possible in the pig S 6C IS that owners will readily appreciate the service which the association has already rendered to the district, and therefore will use every eneavour to co-operate with that body.
