NEW ZEALAND COAL.
PROTEST AGAINST USE ON RAILWAYS. At the monthly meeting of the Ha-w-era branch of the E.F. and C.A., the following motion was passed: “This branch of the E>.F. and C.A. strongly protests against the action of the Government in introducing the use of New Zealand coal on the railways, as many of their locomotives are not designed for burning this class of coal.”
