W W j-x €y *' ot the elections Herr editor of the Tageblatt, has published a remarkable series of letters intended to give the coup de grace to the. attempts to re-establish the reputation of the ex-Kaiser. The letters include one from the Kaiser to Prince Buelow after the breakdown of the attempts at a Russian alliance in 1905. Ihe letter beseeches Prince Buelow not to resign “or I shall be made a laughing stock for all time.” The letter concludes with a threat of suicide, the Kaiser adding : ‘ ‘Think of my poor wife and children.”
