BREAKING NEW GROUND.
SALVATION ARMY. PROSPECTING AT FTJT. One of the few places where that wide organisation, the Salvation Army, is not established is Fiji, but a movement is now under way to bring the Islands in line with almost all other parts of the Empire. By the Makura, which arrived at Auckland the other morning, Commissioner Hoggard returned after a brief visit to Suva, durwlrich he “prospected” with the object of placing the Salvation Army where the banner is not yet flying. Commissioner Hoggard was Avell satisfied with liis visit, but could not give any definite information as to what would be the outcome, as others interested were forwarding reports and all would have to be. gone into and considered before any definite plan was decided upon.
