ARMISTICE DAY.
At the meeting of the Hawera County Council a circular was received from the Prime Minister stating that his Majesty the King had approved of the following arrangements for the day, Tuesday, November 11: Short service on lines as previously, and two minutes’ silence at 11 a.m., local authorities filing asked to arrange for suspension of all vehicular traffic for two minutes. It was decided to co-operate with the other local bodies.
