WINTER SHOW.
SCHOOLS SECTION. INTERESTING WORK. A section of the show which each year has been a prominent feature, and which has served to add very materially to its popularity, is that, connected with the work of the public schools of the Dominion. For the coming show in July efforts have been put forward to make that work more interesting and attractive than ever. The schedule, which has just been issued; proves that very extensive revision has been made in all classes. A great effort is being made on behalf of the Boys and Giris’ Clubs and the forestry section. In connection with the latter competition prizes totalling £lO 12s 6d, in adidtion to the Geo. Syme and Co. shield, are offered. The Director of .Forestry is specially keen on this work and the scheme has his heartiest appreciation and approval. The scheme has also been taken up by most of the Education Boards of, the Dominion. Another class which has been added is that of script writing, which has fieen largely neglected in * the past. Those of map-making, drawing, lettering. and brush work have been altered and enlarged; and sewing has been completely revised, giving a new field of work. In essays, which has always been a popular subject, an excellent range of subjects has been selected. These few points will serve to give some small idea of the range of the schedule. All further information and copies of schedule will be posted ta anyone interested. /
