THE ROYAL SHOW.

GRAND PARADE. LAST RESULTS. A fitting cLimax to the three days of the First Royal Show was reached with the marshalling of that great array of horses and cattle in the grand parade. It was a sight such has never been eclipsed in the history of Dominion A. and P. Shows. The parade was watched with keen enthusiasm by the thousands of.visitors who thronged the pretty grounds.

Included in the parade was the great old Clydesdale stallion Buchylar’s Favourite, entered for exhibition only. This great horse, and the famed hack, Captain Glossop, were arrayed in covers made of their championship-rib-bons. The former has about twentytwo and the latter even more championships to their credit. In the hack classes, Mr A. Iv. Overton’s (Taihape) Kowhiwhi was grand champion and champion in heavy hacks, and Mrs H. Gillies’ (Palmerston N.) Captain Glossop, grand champion in light-weight hacks. WORKING DRAUGHTS. Moore-Hunter Estate scored well in this section, getting three firsts —mare in regular Work with Lingerie, and three and four horse team, second with Boncer for gelding in- regular work, two thirds with Lingerie—bestworking draught and heavy gelding or mare in harness.
