CORRESPONDENCE.
POST-SESSIONAL ADDRESS DESIRED. (To the Editor.) Sir, —Since the elections in Great Britain a muster of all the Liberals in the Empire would not bring to light a number large* enough to form, a Government for our. little overseas Dominion of New Zealand. This state of affairs is hardly to be wondered at if our own Liberal member’s apparent political inertia can be taken as typical of the efforts of Liberal politicians generally. Knowing as we do that Mr Corrigan is a fully occupied man apart from politics, one is lotli to charge such a hard worker for the common weal with anything approaching neglect, but under the circumstances as electors we are forced to disregard sentiment and the cause, and deal only with the effect. We are then faced with the fact that Mr Corrigan has delivered no political addresses in his electorate since his election as M.P. for Patea two years ago. Why should we in Patea electorate become isolated from the immediate happnings in political circles when the electors in the other Taranaki electorates receive pre-sessional and sometimes post-sessional addresses from their respective M.P.’s? As the present session is nearing its close, we that Mr Corrigan will realise his political responsibility and give. us an address on the work of the session.— I am, etc., F. GAWITH.
