Go AY ednesday the Manaia Club were favoured with fine weather for their postponed opening day, and a large muster of players occupied the courts, the president, Mr. M. Regan, in declaring the courts open for play paid a fine tribute to the ladies for th» sumptuous afternoon tea provided He also congratulated the ground committee and custodian on the excellent appearance and condition of the lawns, and wished all an enioyablo and successful season.
