FARMERS’ CO-OP. ORGANISATION SOCIETY’S REPORT. At Opunake, on Monday, the 3rd inst., we had a heavy yarding, over which we had a good clearance at prices satisfactory to vendors, buyers being present from Eltham and AVanganui. AYe quote: AVeaner pigs 20s to 24s 6d, good stores 295, porkers 32s to 335, dairy heifers £5 10s to £6 10s, backward do. £4 to £5 ss, 2-year grade Jersey bulls £l4 14s to £l7, forward cows £3 10s to £4 ss, works and boner cows at late rates. On behalf of Mr Geo. Holmes we sold 150 head of bullocks and steers. Four-year bullocks £5 15s, 3-year steers £4 6s, 2-year Shorthorn steers £3 15s, Holstein do. £3 17s 6d to £3 19s. Yearling Jersey heifers on behalf of Mr A. H. Stevenson £4 7s fid to £4 12s 6d, others (best yearling heifers) £2 15s to £3 10s, small and low conditioned £1 6s to £2 2s. At Manaia, on Tuesday, the 4th inst., we had a medium yarding, and report a good clearance at pricey satisfactory to vendors. AA'e quote: AVeaner pigs 20s 6d to 21s, stores £1 30s to £2 7s, porkers £2 6s, sow and litter £3 12s 6d, fat cows £5 10s to £6 ss, forward cows £4 to £4 15s, best works cows £3 2s to £3 16s, 2-year grade Jersey bulls 11 to 14gns, 3-year Hereford best dairy heifers £lO, others £5 10s to £9 10s. LONDON PRODUCE MARKETS. The' Bank of New Zealand produce department has received the following advice from its London -effic© under date October 31:—‘‘Butter : Very quiet, with second grade very neglected; 222 s to 224 s pet cwt. Cheese: Slow; 96s per cwt. Frozen meat: The market for wethers is quiet but firm. The market for ewes has improved and the demand is expected to continue. Quotations for lamb are nominal as the market is short of supplies. The beef market is quiet but firm. AVethers, light 8d to !-)ld per lb, heavy to 8-Jd; ewes, 6d to 7d; lambs, under 42’s ll£d to seconds to 12ld, new season’s li.jd to 12 Ad; Australian, ok hinds, 4-id to sd, fores 3jd to 3|d.” FROZEN MEAT. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report- having received, the following cablegram from their London house under date of the . 30th illfc. :. — Lamb.—New Zealand prime crossbred lamb: Canterbury, heavy lljd, light 12|d; North Island, heavy llgd, light 12$d.‘ Demand for New Zealand lamb continues. Market very firm. ! Mutton.—New Zealand prime crossbred mutton: Canterbury, heavy and light not quoted; North Island, heavy 7ld, light B£d. Moderate demand for New Zealand mutton. Market firm. Beef.—New Zealand prime ox beef: Hinds sd. fores 4d. Demand for New Zealand beef runs principally on forequarters. Market firmer. Australian Frozen Meat.—Good average quality crossbred lambs: Australian heavy liot quoted, light llid. Good demand for Australian lamb. Australian mutton not quoted.
