FAREWELLS IN AUCKLAND. iBY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 3. Lord Jellicoe had another crowded day of farewells to-day. He was entertained at luncheon by the Chamber of Commerce, and in the afternoon, with Lady Jellicoe, he attended the races at Ellerslie. Their Excellencies were accorded an enthusiastic farewell on leaving the course, A civic farewell was held in the Town Hall this evening, and was attended by a very large gathering, The Mayor (Sir James Gunson) presented Lord Jellicoe, on behalf of the citizens, with an illuminated .address enclosed in a casket of native woods and bearing the city coat of arms in gold and silver, supported on either side b\- a stuffed kiwi. The ladies of Auckland, through Lady Gunson, presented Lady i Jellicoe with Goldie’s painting of the head of the Maori chief, Apxahoma Rairai. The Governor-General presented Sir James Gunson with his letter patent of knighthood. Their Excellencies leave for Wellington to-morrow night.
