WHAREROA SECTION. The examinations for Junior 1 Bed Cross Society’s certificates for the Whareroa section conducted, by Mr. El. A. Booth, resulted as follows: Doreen Smith 100 per cent., Ruth Marra 100, Annie Reynolds 100, Marjory Benton 68, Bernice Marra 65, Ida Smith ’ 50, Carroll Hitchcock 100, Kenneth Reynolds 100, James Reynolds 98, Channing Western 96, Colin Smith 83, Leonard Smith 81, Hector Presland 75, Raymond Marra 85, Terence Marra 65, Percy Hatcher 51. The Whareroa boys and girls of the Red Cross Society’s juniors were the first in New Zealand to pass for their first aid certificates.
