ENTERTAINMENTS

OPERA HOUSE, HAWERA. KIN GLAND’S VAUDEVILLE CO. "Various styles of entertainment ap-' peal to different types of people. The opera, the dramatic show, the Shakespearean company, the gaiety show, all have their faithful devotees, but the circus has a lure.that is universal in its appeal and satisfying in its results. The spirited music of the band, the glitter of the steel trapeze, the mirth-provoking antics of the clowns, the splendid skill and nervy, daring of the lean-limbed, clear-eyed men and women, lads and lasses/all cheerfully performing thc-ir thrilling acts, combine to make an entertainment tliat stands alone as a dispeller of gloom and a creator of joy. Ringlaml’s celebrated Vaudeville and Circus de Luxe is more than a circus, having replaced the ordinary horse acts with several high-class vaudeville i turns. This show i.s claimed to be wonderfully equipped in personnel to maintain the traditions of the “sawdust ring”—traditions and memories that have given to the circus, as an institution, a place in the hearts of red-blooded men and women that no "ther form of entertainment can ever hope to occupy. Patrons will appreciate the opportunity of witnessing this show, free from the risks of ora/shinv tent poles, and the ’ discomforts of dripping rain-drops, so commonly associated with a tent circus in inclement weather. The Hawera. season is for two nights only, to-morroxv and Wednesday, The box plan is at Mrs. Cook’s, Everybody’s Sweet Store.
