SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTS.

THREE TENNIS COURTS. TO BE LAID DOWN. Recently the* Hawera School Committee asked the headmaster to select a suitable site on the school grounds for the laying down of tennis courts, and at last night’s meeting of the School Committee the headmaster recommended that -the grounds Used by the girls last season as a basket ball field should be utilised. The committee agreed on the proposed site, and decided that three courts should be laid down in either concrete with a tarred surface or asphalt. It was left with the chairman to draw up specifications and to call alternate tenders.
