A MYSTERY.
MAN AND WOMAN DEAD. MOTIVE "UNKNOWN. A STRANGE AFFAIR; , BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT, SYDNEY, Oct. 29. The tragedy at Tumberumba, where the dead bodies of a man and a woman were found, remains a mystery. ‘The victims are Frederick Wolff, *aged 25, and Mrs Turner, aged 24, who is stated to be a widow with two small children. She was acting as housekeeper to the Wolff family, with whom she was on the best of terms. All the inmates of the house except the two victims left in the morning, and when Wolff’s younger brother returned in the afternoon he found the woman’s body lying on a bed with two bullet wounds in the head and Wolff’s body on the floor alongside with the top of the head blown off, a rifle being between his legs. There is no clue as to the cause beyond a statement that Wolff was suffering from influenza; and‘is alleged to have been acting queerly on the previous day. ' :
