Six rinks were engaged, the result being as follows: E. Thurston, 5 wins; F. J liurston and Quin having tied in the number of games won, the selection of winner was decided on the highest points scored during the day. Thurston scored 83 against Quin’s 60. and the former was declared winner amidst applause, the latter taking second prize.
Besides the tournament players there were a number of others enjoying a friendly roll up. and the green had quite an animated appearance. Five games were played in the tournament. an hour and a quarter being allowed for each.
