POST OFFICES.
NEW BUILDINGS ERECTED. WELLINGTON, Oct. 28. The Public Works Statement refers to post offices as follows :- During the* year buildings were erected at the following places (the list includes a. number of post office buildings of the smallest type): Aivakino (lineman's residence), Dannevirke, Stratford, Dunedin (automatic telephone exchange). Kopaki, Ngongotahi, Ghinewai, Onewhero. Paten, Springburn, Tinui. Waharoa' Waimauku, Waitoa, Wellington (store, workshop, and garage). Additions were made to the post office buildings at Inglewood, Kaiapoi and Motueka, and In portions of the railway station buildings used for post office purposes at Midhirst and Nomtanby. At New Plymouth internal alterations were made in order to incorporate in the •post, office accommodation previously occupied by another depaiiment. and by the postmaster ns residential quarters respectively.
