NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. CLOSING DAY. The very successful season at the Waiwakaiiio golf links officially came to a close on Saturday, when the final match, mixed foursomes, took place, Mrs. Duff and H. N. Johnson proving the winners. During the .afternoon the president (Df. E. A. Walker) presented the prizes for the championships .and for the mixed foursomes. In making the presentations. Dr. Walker said that the season had been a very successful one and the course had been in excellent order throughout, thanks to the caretaker and his assistant. The following prizes were then presented : Senior championship, F. Quin; junior championship, H. H. Worsley; best net aggregate score, both senior and junior, P. Trevalla; best gross aggregate, both senior and junior, A. Smith; best gross aggregate, junior qualifying rounds, F. W." Stokes; mixed foursomes, Mr s . Duff and H. N. Johnson. PLAY AT AUCKLAND. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, Oc#. 26. The Mangakiekie Golf Club’s Titirangi open championship was won by R. M. George, with 70—77—153, R D TV right 70—78 —157 being second R. Gardner 86 —82—168 being third.
