LABOUR DAY SPORTS.
HANDICAPS. Judging by the record entries received and providing that the weather is favourable, a large attendance is anticipated at the sports to be held on Labour Day at 2.30 p.m. in the A. and P. Show Grounds. Competing in the field events are S. Lay and L. Hunt, West Coast champions in .javelin throwing, discus and putting the shot. A large number of Wanganui cyclists are competing in the road race, including an entry from a boy only 11 years old.
