A THIRTEEN WEDDING.
BRIDE DEFIES SUPERSTITION LONDON, Oct. 13. Miss Ursula Luytens, one of the four daughters of Sir Edwin Luytens, the famous architect and artist, defied the thirteen superstition by marrying Viscount Ridley to-day. The reception was at N 0.13. Mansfield Street, 13 children attending. Despite the old saw, “If you wear green you wear black,” her going•away dress is green. The reception was confined to the family owing to the death, on October 11, of the bridegroom’s uncle, Mr. Rupert Gw.vnn, who had been financial secretary to the War Office since 1923.
The bride’s mother was Lady Emily Lytton, daughter of the first Earl of Lytton. Sir Edward Luytens, among other notable works, designed the Whitehall Cenotaph. Viscount Ridley, who is 21 year s of age, is the eldest son of the second Viscount Ridley. He owns 10,200 acres.
