3000 STUDENTS TO DRILL. REALISTIC MANOEUVRES. TOKIO, Oct, 4. For the purpose of popularising military drill, 3000 students from 40 middle schools will attend manoeuvres on October 19 in the Tokio suburbs. They will be under officers of the Imperial Guard, and First Army Division. Guns, two aeroplanes, and war tanks will be supplied by the War Offie©. It is proposed to hold a similar display annually if the plan to substitute drill in the schools for conscription is adopted.
