CORRESPONDENCE.
ELECTRIC LIGHT CHARGES. (To the Editor.) Sir, —Some few weeks ago the Hawera Electric Light Co. graciously decided to stop charging the meter tent to their consumers. At the same time, or very shortly afterward, they have decided to make the minimum sb. It looks to me as if they *‘threw a sprat to catch a mackerel.” Whether this is so or not it is another one up against the worker, because it is he who, trying to live within his means, is hit most. I think, sir, it is well nigh time that Hawera had a power board, and I hop© the efforts of a few* who have this matter in hand will be successful. I have waited Borne time before writing, hoping some abler pen than mine would take this matter up. Thanking you in anticipation.—l am, etc., A WORKER.
