ALBERT HOTEL FIRES.
CAUSED WILFULLY. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION- . WELLINGTON, Oct.-20. Inquiry into the series of fires at the Albert Hotel has concluded. Janies Rainey, furrier, of Auckland, said he did not see Mrs Haydon leaving a bedroom, although he saw her in the-corridor between 8.30 and. 9 p.m. Haydon met him before coming into Court and asked wha.t his evidence would be. He replied: ‘‘l can tell, what I know, and that’s not much.” The Court found that the fires were wilfully caused, but- there was no direct evidence to show who was the -originator of them.
