CORRESPONDENCE.
TO WHICH PARTY ? (To the Editor.) Sir, —I think it is unfair of Mr O’Dea trying to push Mr Corrigan into the Reform camp. Why doesn’t he try to get him for the Labour Party, as Mr Corrigan occasionally votes with Labour? Every member of the Labour Party voted for the Dairy Control Bill, and so did Mr Corrigan. Mr Corrigan would not support his own party (Liberal) in trying to get proportional representation, as he is in favour of preferential voting, whatever that is. Mr Corrigan' is also very sensitive as to where he stands on the liquor question. We know that as a member of the Efficiency League he favoured prohibition, but where is he now ? But I think the chief reason we would not want Mr Corrigan in our camp is because of his attitude to educational matters. He favours giving grants in aid to sectarian schools, which might have the effect of breaking up the State secular schools. (See Star of October 28, 1922, Mr Corrigan’s speech.) No, we do not want Mr am, etc., REFORM.
