Supreme Court Judges' have objected to being called on ,to conduct Royal Commissions \yas ; conveyed to the House by the Prime Minister to-day." A select committee had recommended the reference of a petition to a Supreme Court Judge for inqiurv, and the Premier, while agreeing that the House would, have every con-' fidence in the judges, said it must not 1 be taken for granted that judges wGuld comply with the request" that they should act on the. inquiry.
