PROTEST FROM OTAGO. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. DUNEDIN, Oct. 18. At a meeting of the Otago branch of the New Zealand Alliance the following resolution was transmitted to the Premier ; “The Otago executive strongly protests against the report of the Licensing Committee, and regrets the continued delay in licensing matters. It has viewed with surprise the bias already exhibited, and the proposals are an outrage to the prohibition vote and will be strenuously opposed in every electorate. We welcome the proposal for compulsory enrolment.”
