A noted gaol-breaker, William Digby, who twice last week escaped from custody at Port Lincoln, made another attempt last night. A policeman was taking him to a yard, when he dashed off. The policeman followed, firing his revolver. One of the shots lodged in Digby’s stomach, and he died shortly afterwards.
