The steamer Hncklersiielcl (which was chartered to convey the expedition which searched for the Douglas Mawxon womens has been arrested at Danvin as the result of a. writ issued for wages by a number of the crew. GENEVA PROTOCOL. Received Oct. 17, 11.30 a.m. BRUSSELS, Oct. 16. Cabinet has decided to sign the Geneva protocol.—Reuter BLAZE IN WOOL STORE. £12,000 DAMAGE. Received Oct. 17, 11.45 a.m. SYDNEY. Oct. 17. A two-storied. wool store, covering about a third of an acre, at the Botany wool-scouring works of Swinbnrn and Stephens, was destroyed bv fire last night. The store, with its valuable contents of fleece, proved extremely inflammable, and the premises were left a pile of ruins in a remarkably short space of time. The cause of the outbreak is unknown, and the damage is approximately £12,000.
