JAPAN’S ATTITUDE. • BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION--COPYRIGHT. Received Get. 16, 11.30 a.m TOKIO, Oct. ’ls. After reiterating Japan’s attitude of strict neutrality during the present civil war in China, the Government draws attention to the fact that hundreds of thousands of Japanese are resident in that Japanese investments, enterprises, and undertakings are on a vast scale in Manchuria and Mongolia, and that her own security depends on the maintenance of law and order in these regions. It states that Japan deems it of capital importance that these essential rights and interests be fully respected and safely guarded, according to the notes handed to the Peking and Mukden authorities by the Japanese Alinister and Consul-General respectively.— Reuter
