RIFLE SHOOTING.
AUSTRALIAN MEETING. 3Y CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT SYDNEY, Oct. 15. Despite troublesome winds and mirage, excellent scoring was recorded at the Rifle Association’s meeting. The Philip Charley match, eight shots at 300 yards, was won bv Kelly (Victoria) with a score of 39. H, R Hunt was third with 37. With the weather conditions more favourable shooting at the rifle meeting to-day was of a high standard and numbers of possibles were registered. The keenness of the contests was evidenced in the Danger match, the first stage of the King’s Prize. The winner scored the possible (70). Hunt Zealand), with a number of others on 63. \y? c placed twenty-first. N. Svmonds is the onlv other New Z^alande l ' who has so far figured jn minor wins.
