' The local grain and produce market very dead. • Potatoes even have failed to sustain interest, and the season ynsms to. be, at an end. The Navuii is leaving Lyttelton to-morrow with a small consignment for Auckland. Farmers appear to have very few to offer, and quotations to them are from £5 to £5 os on trucks. It is reported that the last big shipment the Kawatiri brought from Victoria- opened up badly. A considerable proportion was stacked on the wharf and sold at £5 i ton ex wharf, whilst Canterbury's were £‘2 a ton more. This apparently indicates the end of Australian im~ lortations. Al! masses of seeds are firm, but there is little movement.. AUCKLAND SHAR EMARKET. SOUTH BRITISH DIVIDEND. AUCKLAND, Oct. 14.
