ELTHAM.
- (From Our Own Co j respondent.) THE LATE MRS. H. ROWE. A very sad break in the well-known and highly respected family occurred on the 10th inst. at Dr. Cooper’s private hospital, when Mrs. H Rowe, <>: Glen Almond, New Plymouth, passed away. She was the eldest daughter of Mrs. T. Phillips and the late Mr. T. Phillips, of Marigatoki. Her deeply affectionate character endeared her to the hearts of all who knew her. The j funeral, which took place on Sunday j last, wa s very largely attended, and ‘ was conducted by the" Rev. Orange, oi the Presbyterian Church. Six cousins of the late Mrs. Rowe —Messrs Sulzberger (4) and Phillips (2)—acted as pall-bearers. There were a large number of beautiful wreaths forwarded from all parts of the district. Great sympathy is felt for the widower, who is very well known in the Manga toki district, where he resided for a number of years; also for the mother, three sisters and a. brother, and a little baby i few days old
