Received Oct. 15, 10.35 a.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 15. ’ILe recent choice or cue cricket selectors lias been followed by a. conti oversy between V\ ai wick Ai-mstiong and n.. Lean, secretary cf the V ictorian Cricket Association, who was eiiosen a., one of the selectors. Armstrong said that Dean lacked the cricket experience necessary for accepting such a position. Bean replied that nobody took any notice.of wnat Armstrong said, and that when the last team was being chosen Armstrong declared Unit McDonald was not worth a bowler's bootlace. Mir Rush, secretary of the Victorian Association and a member of the Board of Control, points out that Bean was elected unanimously by the Board of Control, adding that no one takes any notice of Armstrong’s opinion in regard to international cricket. Armstrong, in declining to further continue the controversy, said they were just the remarks one would expect and were not worth replying to.
