The largest liquor seizure in the history of prohibition enforcement on the yPacific Coast was effected by Government officers to-day, when they captured the British steamer Quadra, privately owned by a Vancouver company.' According to the San Francisco officers, the Quadra was the mother-ship of a huge rum fleet. She was captured six miles off the coast in the act of transferring liquor to smaller vessels. One of these was seized a few hours earlier and had Honor valued at £4OOO.
