Iwo-way communication with an amateur station in Boston, U.S.A., Was established last night by Mr Ivan O’Meara, an amateur operator, using only a 50 watt valve in the transmitter. The distance is approximately 1 300 miles, which is claimed to be a world s record. .The intercommunication was maintained for one and a quarter hours.
