NELLIE BRAMLEY.

“PEG O’ MY HEART.” A FASCINATING PLAY. To-morrow (W ednesday) evening at tlj® .Opera House, this clever company will make their return visit to Hawera, and will present the charming comedy in which the talented young actress has scored her greatest triumpwrvJSlothing sweeter or more attractive has been seen here than Nellie Bramley as the little Irish colleen, so winsome, so natural, so full of charm, and yet so bubbling over with her native wit and humour that, while she fascinates, she keeps her audience at will in a continuous state of merriment. “Peg o’ M.y Heart” is a. dainty love story, interwoven with the doings of a dainty Irish girl in an English home, and leading up to a more involved issue when she frustrates her cousin Ettell’s elopement with a married man. As l'?.g. Miss Bramley has won enthusiastic praise wherever she has played it, rtvmg a charming unpersonatic, it of the brave young Irish girl who wanted to carry out “me” father’s wishes at a sacrifice of her own. “There’s a. little divil inside me, and every- now- and then he pops out.” So Peg attributes her escapades when called to task by hei arrogant aunt, Mrs Chichester. And the audience laugh heartily at the Winchesters’ discomfiture, and then furtively wipe away a tear as Peg tiers at some hidden heart string. “Peg o’ yly Heart” is one of the most ’successful comedies ever written, and its popuanty never wanes. It should certainly have a-highly satisfying presentation at the lianas of Miss Bramley and her versatile company. The box plan'-is at airs Criok-s store, and Datrons should hook their seats at: once.
