A SUGGESTION TO THE REFORM PARTY.
. (To the Editor.) .... Sir, —I notice that the Reform Partyrepresentatives are to meet at Waverley on November 28 to select a Reform candidate. Might I suggest ; that it would be a graceful act on their part to consider the claims of our '-sitting member, ISf-. ,J. R. Corrigan?- I am not suggesting for a moment that he will be chosen. That, of course, is another matter. But in view iof his record, would it not be an act of courtesy, of grace, of gratitude, to consider his name with the others when nominations were being considered by the conference? On at least one memorable occasion he helped Mr. Massey on a critical division, when he hurriedly left, the Chamber after being spoken to by the Hon. J. G. Coates, and did not vote. 'And only a few days ago, on the Land and Income Tax Bill, he was fountf” votin nuWith the Reform Party, while Mr. WiTford and several other Liberals were in the opposite lobby. In fact, the Dominion was so pleased that it published lshe names of Mr. Corrigan and.seven other Liberals who followed him into Mr. Massey’s lobby, in large black typeno doubt to immortalise them I cer - tainly think his name is entitled to at least some consideration at the Reform ■ conference.—l am, etc.,' P.
