REPUBLICANS CONTEST SEATS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received Oct. 13, 12.20 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 12. De Valera announced that the Republicans have decided to contest the Ulster seats in the forthcoming British election, in order to enable the people to record their votes against the partition laws or other legislation for Ireland. Candidates, if returned, mil not sit in the English Parliament. The statement contains the usual denuncia. tion of England, which he charges with exploiting Ireland in English interests. —Renter.
