SALE OF PAINTINGS.
A very attractive * display is being made at Messrs R. P. Morrissey and Co.’s front vestibule- of oil paintings, pastels, water-colours, and etchings. These are brought to Ha worn by Mr J. Douglas Perrett, and already a number of lovers of art have taken the opportunity of uaying a visit c.f inspection. The collection includes paintings by Mr Perrett, the outstanding pfetures being those of tile wonderful lake and mountain scenery of New Zealand, water colours by Mr A. Leuchar and James Greig and some very striking etchings by Air James Mcßev. The whole forms a series, in varied styles, that is well worth inspection by lovers of artistic work. They will be on view every day until Thursday, when a sale will he held by Morrissey and Co. The sale will commence on that day at 2.30 p.m.
