Mr Warwick Armstrong, interviewed, said that the Australians would have a great fight to retain the ashes, but they will retain them by the judicious selection of a good bowling side. The English team will he popular. They are good sportsmen and happy fellows. SATURDAY’S TEAMS. The following players will represent Manaia Cricket Club in the scratch game at Okaiawa on Saturday: Dr. Maunsell, Hobday, McMahon, H. Hughes, H. Whalen, T. Sherlock, G. Stevenson, Rev. C. Roberts, W. Bairstow, C. Haynes, Crawford Watson, E. Clark. The team will leave Manaia at 1 p.m. sharp. Okaiawa team to play Manaia at Okaiawa on Saturday, at 1.45 p.m., will be as follows: Thomas, Brooke, Richmond, Newman, H. Hughes, Linn, Atkins. Meuli, B. Barclay, Betts, Pratt. Penny.
