COMPULSORY POOL. STORM OF PROTEST. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received October 8, 11.50 a.m. MELBOURNE, Oct, 8. The State Government’s proposal to establish a compulsory wheat pool has given rise to storms of protest in many quarters. The pool has been strongly condemned by .the- Corn Exchange, which asserts that the great majority of farmers are opposed to a <comjpulsory pool. Protests were also made by meetings of farmers and others in various parts of the State. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
