INQUEST ON TWO 'MEN. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WAIPUKUR.AU, Oct. 7. The iiiquest on the two victims of the towri hall fatality was concluded last night, when the jury returned a verdict that the death's were due to a sag iii a tie beam of the steel truss, allowing it to collapse. The evidence showed that the steel trusses were in position and stayed hut not fixed, and planking was used. The two men. were hauling up other planks when, the truss collapsed. A question was put- by counsel in the direction of showing that the use of planking on a truss as a scaffold was dangerous and a breach of the Scaffolding Act.
