The week-end speeches threw no new light on the political 'situation, which depends upon Mr Ramsay MacDonald’s view of election prospects, but there is a manifest feeling in business circles against an immediate election. Labour speakers everywhei’e professed to welcome the chance of an election, condemning the pin-pricks of the Liberals, which are making the task of the Labour Government impossible. The Morning Post suggests that 20 Radicals may vote with the Government on Wednesday, thus giving it a further short lease of life.
