During last rear 45,440 head of calv'es were inoculated for blackleg in the,Taranaki district. An inebriate, who claimed to lie the secretary of the Gorsegrubbers’ Association, appeared at the Wanganui Court recently. “Is the association in funds?” asked the Magistrate. The reply was in the negative. A fine of 12s 6d was imposed. National forest stocktaking inventory was completed during the year. Finalised statistics show that New Zealand possesses nearly 39,000.000 feet of milling soft woods, and 23,000,000 feet of hard woods, growing on 12.592.000 acres.
