HOUSE DESTROYED. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION ) MASTERTON, Oct. 3. A four-roomed house owned and occupied by J. E. Ardron, a post office employee, was totally destroyed by fire this evening. The occupants were out at the pictures at the time and the outbreak had a good hold before it was observed by a neighbour. The house is located in an isolated portion of the north ward of the borough, and before the brigade could pump water from a river 300 yards away the building was praetic all y <1 e m dished.

The house, which had recently been nurehased, was insured for £250, but the furniture was not covered.
