It. was known to his close personal friends that certain charities would, as a result of this desire, benefit at Mr Macldam’s death, and under his will, of which the Public Trustee is executor, legacies totalling £2500 are provided for charities, of which the following is the list: Cl 7 • £ Salvation Army Prison Gate Brigade, Wellington 100 Salvation Army Boys’ and Girls’ Homes, Island Bay, Wellington, each 300 Salvation Army Rescue Home, Wellington 400 Salvation Army Boys’ Home, Eltham 500 Jubilee Institute for the Blind, Auckland ' 400 Dr. Barnardo’s Home for Destitute Children, London, England 500
